Make it count: your brand, your network

Posted by Sherry Shaffer · October 18, 2010

Day 2 of the BlogWorld Expo 2010
Now that I'm recovered somewhat from the Convention, I am excited to share more about the Expo.

Had the best and the worst aspect to all types of meetings will participate konnten.Es were always at least 12 different themes of podcasting up to eat Blogging.Ich controlled way of specializations such as real estate and military blogging, but I still missed great stuff of tons of. That being said here a bit is what I got to see:

Standout sessions for me on Friday were Mari Smith's "the brand you: how to build a profitable social media based business", and a panel discussion with Wendy pier all, Cecilia Mecca, Bridgette Duplantis and moderated by Jeremy Wright, "harnessing the power of numbers: create a blog network."

Mari Smith is a master of personal Marke.Mari's brand is Mari, spoke of your signature "Turquoise and bling" on everything - including the podium, as you – with your lovely Scottish Canadian accent. Their main advice is to really interact with your audience. Out and respond to blogs, answer questions on your Facebook page, tweet about interesting topics. She advised everyone to use your name and the image as far as possible, so that people feel which you interact with a real person. The exception would be if you want to sell a company brand, maybe in the future, and even then are you a human face behind the name want to deploy.

Now, does not get out there and natter on about nothing. Make your commitment worthwhile for those who interacts with. "There were two things that you said that stuck with me," don't shout look at me, screaming, "How can I help you?" "and"It is better to have not giving a hoot what you say 100 highly dedicated fans/trailers 10,000."" Engage with other words, to help you with purpose and an eye for others. Can thousands of fans and followers, but if you listen to are not, it does not matter. And you do not hear when they provide you with a good reason.

But the most remarkable thing about Mari is that the speech is going. She was very gracious to those who came to speak with her.Anybody got kind words and helpful advice with a real Lächeln.Sie sat listening to meetings with their counterparts and participated. There is nothing about Mari Smith inaccessible; It wants to help honest.

The three women from the session to create a blog network were also very helpful. In fact, were the networks you created - double duty divas Bridgette and Cecilia - Wendy Sparkplugging all over those that participated to promote.Their attitude is that those are the blog in your niche no competition, but opportunities for support and mutual benefit. during the divas reward promotion and consolidation of advertisers and bloggers, Wendy-, which sold before recently Sparkplugging - you paid aims, home contractor blogger for your time and posted more content.

A network of bloggers compilation can be a rewarding experience, but all three recommended that you join the screen, you well müssen.Leitlinien from the outset to dictate the tone and style of your network and the network remains honestly and transparently ensure (the divas do a lot of product reviews that full disclosure is required.)Adhere to these guidelines and lean not. Finally, it is your network's - and ultimately your - call on the line.

Whew! This is a lot of information, and I hardly on the surface gekratzt.Stay tuned for my next installment for day 3.

Thanks for reading!
